Privacy Policy

This policy explains how personal data is handled when you visit this website or contact us about a stay at FTERNA Apartments. We keep data collection to a minimum: there is no account, no online payment and no booking form on this site, and we do not use tracking or marketing cookies.

  1. 1. Data controller

The controller of your personal data is Kamil Pięta, private host of FTERNA Apartments (Perea, Greece). Contact: phone +48 506 111 541 (PL) / +30 698 622 3697 (Greece), e-mail pieta181@wp.pl.

  2. 2. What we process and why

    • Enquiries and bookings — if you contact us via WhatsApp or Viber, we process your phone number, name and the content of your messages in order to answer you and arrange your stay (legal basis: steps taken at your request before/under a contract, GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)). • Server logs — our hosting provider automatically records technical data (IP address, browser, date/time) to keep the site secure and running (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f)). • Language preference — your chosen language is stored only in your browser (localStorage) and is never sent to us.

  3. 3. Cookies and tracking

This website does NOT use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and contains no third-party trackers. It only stores a single functional item in your browser (your language choice). For this reason no cookie-consent banner is shown — no consent is legally required for strictly functional storage.

  4. 4. Maps and embedded content

On the "Interesting places" page, when you open a place's details a map from OpenStreetMap (operated by the OpenStreetMap Foundation) may load; at that moment your IP address is sent to OpenStreetMap so the map can be displayed. Links to Google Maps, TripAdvisor or venues' own websites open those third-party sites only when you click them.

  5. 5. Recipients of data

Depending on how you reach us, your data may be processed by: our hosting provider (MyDevil.net / Domeny.pl sp. z o.o., which stores the site and server logs); Meta Platforms Ireland (WhatsApp) or Rakuten (Viber) if you message us there, under their own policies; and the OpenStreetMap Foundation when a map is loaded. We do not sell your data and do not share it for marketing.

  6. 6. International transfers

If you contact us through WhatsApp/Viber, those providers may process your data outside the European Economic Area (EEA) under the safeguards described in their privacy policies (e.g. EU Standard Contractual Clauses).

  7. 7. How long we keep it

We keep enquiry and booking correspondence only as long as needed to handle your request and your stay, and afterwards for the period required by applicable law (e.g. tax and accounting obligations). Server logs are kept for a short technical period by the hosting provider.

  8. 8. Your rights

You have the right to access your data and to its rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection, and data portability, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on it. To exercise these rights, contact us at pieta181@wp.pl. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in Poland the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO, uodo.gov.pl), or in Greece the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (HDPA, dpa.gr).

  9. 9. Building security cameras

For security, the buildings may be covered by external monitoring (entrances and parking areas). There are no cameras inside the apartments. Details are set out in each apartment's house rules.

  10. 10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy if our practices or the law change. Last updated: 2026-06-08.
